Blupdate

Hi all, I figured it was blupdate time. That's an update blog. Yep, that's right, blupdate. Write it down.

It's sad when you sit down to write a blog about all the exciting things that have happened in the past few weeks just to realise there's nothing. Like actually nothing.
I broke on Saturday, had the worst week and then things went to pot on Saturday, and I just broke down. I can't help but think I'm being a little stupid working so much, it's not working. But if you know me then you know I never give up, and I just can't bring myself to quit. Surely this is just the wall and I have to break through it, instead of letting it break through me. We'll see what the next few weeks bring. The amount of money I am saving is making it worth it, so fingers crossed it doesn't kill me.

But yes, exciting things that are happening? I am meeting two of my ultimate best friends in Edinburgh at the end of October, and I am TOO EXCITED TO SEE THEM!!!! It's going to be amazing :) I genuinely don't think I've ever been this excited to see their lovely faces in the whole 4 years I have known them.

I have also made a decision on the career direction I want to take after all this working is done and I've saved up a bit of money. I have decided that what I really want to open my own business. There are so many ideas for what that business will be, but I do know that it's a challenge that I will thoroughly enjoy and take a lot from. So that's in the beginnings, and is very exciting :)

Last week my friends proved themselves once again. Bradley stopped what he was doing to take me for coffee and make sure that I was ok, which I really appreciated. That same night my lovely friend Draper came round for tea and to remind me how exciting life is. Some people that moved miles away from me this year also reminded me that I can always turn to them. And I saw my lovely, yet slightly crazy, friend Cassie last night which was fabulous :) Kenny has also been giving me much needed cuddles and constantly offering me tea which is what I needed too.
Apart from that, the nights are drawing in, the hats and scarves will be coming out soon, and I am remembering why I love winter so much.

Also, it looks like I am getting kept on at Nexen, which is very exciting. So in a way I am glad I broke this weekend, because now I am more motivated than ever to achieve what I set out to do in this year.

That was a little too cheesy. Have some whimsy. I apparently don't know how to work an iron. I went to iron my work trousers on Thursday night and within a second of putting it on the leg this happened.
Iron: 1, Kat: 0.

So that's all I have to say right now. Til the next mildly interesting story lovelies.

Kat out.
